The 24th edition of the Hlohovec Marching Meeting was organized on the intense European Race Walk Saturday in Slovakia.
As usual, the races were open to all categories, both men and women, including the masters.
We will deal with the seniors, the U20s and the U18s who have all competed on a city course over the 5km distance.
5km senior men
Victory for Milan Rizek (SVK) who at 43 is still able to get the time of 21:23
Second place to Jakub Batovsky (SVK) in 22:24
Third place to Daniel Kovac (SVK) in 23:19
5km senior women
Victory to Maria Katerinka Czakova (SVK) in 22:11
Second place to Terezia Kurukova (SVK) in 23:53
Third place to Paulina Avenova (SVK) in 24:42
Terezia Kurukova's result was really interesting. The young woman not yet eighteen (born on 24.3.2005) obtained the fourth European time of the season (excluding those of the Russian athletes, otherwise she would be the tenth) after:
- Valeriya Sholomitska (UKR): 22:41, obtained in Antalya (TUR) on 6.3.2021
- Palina Astapuk (UKR): 23:38, obtained in Cheboksary (RUS) on 30.5.2021
- Elif Nur Ozbey (TUR): 23:50, obtained in Antalya (TUR) on 6.3.2021
