The Hungarian SuperLeague Final was held last weekend in Győr (that venue hosted the EYOF in 2017).
In the SuperLeague series the athletes could get points during the season by their place on different distances and some extra points by their result.
Finally, the top 8 athletes got into the final where they had to walk 10,000m on the track.
The events was held in very windy condition, the temperature was around 23 Celsius.
10.000m track walk men
First, the gang went off for the men.
Máté Helebrandt and Bence Venyercsán walked together in the leading position but after 6km Bence Venyercsán started to increase the speed and Máté Helebrandt couldn't keep the pace.
Behind them, Norbert Tóth and Dávid Tokodi fought for the bronze medal.
By strict judging, the half of the group had to go to the penalty box.
At the end, the gold medal went to Bence Venyercsán in 41:28.51 (season best)
Silver medal to Máté Helebrandt in 41:46.75 (season best)
Bronze medal after a stop of 1min in the Penalty Zone to the U23 walker Norbert Tóth (43:50.55).
10.000m track walk women
At the women's race 4 women walked together at the beginning.
Anett Torma pulled out early due to stomach problems.
After that Barbara Oláh, Rita Récsei and Tiziana Spiller stayed together.
After around 4km, Barbara Olah forced the pace and she kept her advantage until the end.
For the silver medal was a small fight between Tiziana Spiller Kinga and Rita Récsei.
Victory to Barbara Olah in 48:0:67
Second place went finally to the U20 athlete Tiziana Spiller Kinga in 49:29.60
Third place to Rita Recsei in 50:32.90
Interesting the performances of all the athletes participants. All of them obtained the season best (or the personal best).
Next stop is: National Club Championships Final, Debrecen (5000m track).
