20km men
At the start line there are 45 athletes
Immediately after the start goes to lead Hiroto Jusho.
He was followed by a group of four chasers: Yuta Hoga, Yutaro Murayama, Ryo Hamanishi, and Rihito Ishida.

Hiroto Jusho is leading the chasers group by 19 seconds in 19:46.

The situations doesn’t change. Jusho always leading in 39:38 (second 5km in 19:52)
Yuta Hoga, Yutaro Murayama, Ryo Hamanishi, and Rihito Ishida follows in 40:15 (second 5km in 20:10)
- at 15km:
The situations doesn’t change. Jusho always leading in 1:00:05 (third 5km in 19:27) but he has charged by two red cards for loss of contact
Yuta Hoga walked third 5km in 20:07 and is second (1:00:22) detached only by 17 seconds from the leader.
Yutaro Murayama and Ryo Hamanishi pass in 1:00:34 and are fighting for the bronze.
- last 5km
At 9:23 Hiroto Jusho receives the third red card and will be stopped in Penalty Area for 120 seconds. It happens only at 9:29.39 after 1:19:39 racing.
Green light to Yuta Hoga for the victory.
