The first interesting test of the afternoon will be the women's absolute.

On one of the fastest circuits for the 5km distance, with the presence of the current European runner-up of 35km in Munich (Germany) and 5th in the Eugene World Championships (USA), Raquel González, who will fight in a long-awaited duel with Laura García-Caro, 6th in the Eugene World Championships and 4th in “Los Cantones de La Coruña”, one of the best world walk competitions.

Raquel Gonzalez has already won the “Espada Toledana” in 2021 and 2018, while the Andalusian (Laura Garcia-Caro) won in 2017.

Ten minutes after the start Laura Garcia-Caro decide to abandon ther race and from now on there is a green light to Raquel González for the third victory.

5km men

The stars should have been: Madrid's Diego García, bronze in the 20 km. of the European Championships in Munich this summer, with a 2nd place in "Los Cantones" behind him and without forgetting his silver from the European Championships in Berlin 2018 and his 6th place in Sapporo Olympics all over 20km. Diego Garcia return to Toledo where he won three-time champion the "Espada" (2016, 2017 and 2018),

Next to him, a hard nut to crack, the Swedish Perseus Karlström, who usually spends his winters in southern Europe, double bronze, in 20 and 35km, at the Eugene 2022 World Championships and silver in the 20km. of this year's European Championship, ahead of García.

But unfortunately Perseus Karlström wasn't on the line.

Therefore, the prediction for the victory of Diego Garcia Carrera is made quite easy.

On this course, on November 19, 2016 he established his personal best on this distance of 5km, stopping the clock at 19:37.

The strogest opponents should be Marc Tur Pico, the winner of the edition 2021, (personal best of 19:24 obtained here in Toledo on November 6, 2021) and Ivan Lopez Perez (personal best of 19:46 obtained here in Toledo on November 6, 2021) fourth in the past edition.

Victory to Diego Garcia Carrera in 20:14

Second place to Ivan Lopez Perez in 20:16

Third place to Marc Tur Pico in 20:18
