It is no news that Eleonora Anna Giorgi and Matteo Giupponi are life partners as well as two of the most titled athletes of the Italian race walk.
The news however is that this morning little Leone, their first child, was born in Milan.
It is the culmination of a wonderful year for Matteo Giupponi (Carabinieri) who in Germany in August won the first prestigious medal of his career, the bronze in the 35km, and it is the greatest happiness for Eleonora Anna Giorgi (Fiamme Azzurre), splendid bronze at the Doha World Championships in 2019 in the 50km, a specialty in which he also holds the European record.

On June 14, Kylian Andres was born, son of Erica Rocha de Sena and Andres Choco and today Leone.
We like to point out that in both cases the "fathers" have dedicated themselves in particular to long distances in recent years.
The mothers, on the other hand, have had different paths.
