After the XXXV Trofeu Brasil in San Bernardino do Campo, the Confederation Brasiliana de Atletismo (CBAT) indicated for the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 66 athletes.

- José Alessandro Bagio: personal best of 1:21:38 achieved in Itajai (BRA) on April 15, 2004 and season best of 1:22:15 obtained in Rio Maior (POR) on April 9, 2016

- Moacir Zimmermann: personal best of 1:21:35 achieved in Beograd (SRB) on July 9, 2009 and season best of 1:22:43 obtained in Dudince (SVK) on March 19, 2016

50 km

- Caio Oliveira de Sena Bonfim: personal best of 4:01:42 achieved in San Diego (USA) on November 22, 2015 and season best of 4:10:04 achieved in Dudince (SVK) on March 19, 2016

- Jonathan Riekmann: personal best and season best of 3:55:26 achieved in Dudince (SVK) on March 19, 2016

- Mario José Dos Santos: personal best of 3:55:36 achieved in Dudince (SVK) on March 21, 2015, no season best in the 50 km

20 km women

- Erica Rocha de Sena: personal best and season best of 1:27:18 achieved in Rome (ITA) on May 7, 2016
