Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Palasport of Pombal, POR took place the Indoor U23 Championships of Portugal with the two walk events on the usual distance of 3.000m for women and 5.000m for men.

3.000m indoor women

Eight  athletes at the start.

The victory went to Edna Barros (POR) in 13.04.63 that touches on her personal best of 13:00:47 (always obtained in Pombal on Feb. 20, 2016)

Second place to Mara Ribeiro (POR) in 13:28.42

Third place to Ines Reis (POR) in 13:46.78 new personal best (previous of 13:52.94 always obtained in Pombal on Jan. 22, 2017)

All athletes at the start have completed the race.

5.000m indoor men

The victory went to Miguel Rodrigues (POR) in 21:10.03 which improves its result of the 2016/2018 season of 21:26.88 always obtained in Pombal on Feb. 11, 2017. The athlete, however, has a personal best of 20:56.84 aobtained in Pombal on Feb. 6, 2016.

Second place to Paulo Martins (POR) in 21:29.43 new personal best (previous of 21.50.42 always obtained in Pombal on Jan. 21, 2017)

Third place to Xavier Sousa (POR) in 22:26.00

Seven athletes at the start: 5 finished the race and  2 DQ.
