The Russian Federation of Athletics (RusAthletics) announces that in accordance with the decision of the TAS-CAS of August 4, 2017, was disposed the disqualification of the walker Svetlana Vasilyeva (RUS).
The four-year disqualification was issued based on the hematologic profile of the athlete's biological passport and began on December 13, 2016.
All results obtained in the following periods were also deleted:
- from October 18, 2011 to July 14, 2013
- from May 24, 2016 to December 12, 2016
Svetlana Vasilyeva (RUS) is thus deprived of the gold medal obtained at the 2013 U23 European Championships in Tampere in favor of Lyudmyla Olyanovska (UKR), who was disqualified for doping afterwards (see our news dated Feb. 2, 2017: click here).
Silver goes to Antonella Palmisano (ITA), while bronze goes to the other Russian athlete Natalya Serezhkina.
