Sandro Damilano has finished updating the 2017 most representing male athletes in the world included with the most up-to-date technical reports.
How to identify them?
The choice has been to carefully weigh the results obtained over the last three years, but particularly in the last season between athletes that, in this period of time, have been in the top ten of the world rankings in 20 km. Sandro Damilano then used these parameters in his statistical work with the goal of providing our readers an insight into how much richer for statistical data to those who, at least according to the views of Marcia dal Mondo, should be the "best athletes" .
The section dedicated to Foreign Athletes (men) was updated at Dec. 31, 2017.
Are below presented reports of 29 athletes belonging to 16 Countries.
The athletes were divided by country of origin in order to facilitate research and for every athlete have been updated:
- Personal best
- Progressions over the years in their main races
- Clicking on "Scarica l'allegato" it open a report containing the 10 best performances in major competitions, other important results including the best career results.
We also have indicated the average of the 10 best performances in typical distances of each athlete.
Where possible, moreover the performances less than 10 first in the typical distances of each athlete, were also indicated.
Major changes compared to 2016.
They have been moved to the Hall of Fame: Robert Heffernan (foreign).
Athletes involved in doping facts (Ivan Noskov, Andrey Ruzavin and Mikhail Ryzhov) remain in the in the relevant lists but are not part of this news.
Likewise, it is not part of the news Matej Toth (for which IAAF's decision is still pending on its allegations about the rejection of his biological passport).
In the course of 2017, no results were obtained by Wang Zhen (CHN); Cai Zelin (CHN); Yusuke Suzuki (JAP), and just Matej Toth (SVK), whose reports in the section Athletes->Foreigners->Male remain unvaried.
Were added: Wang Kaihua (CHN), Kai Kobayashi (JPN), Eider Arevalo (COL), Sergey Shirobokov (RUS) who raced in 2017 as ANA, Lebogang Shange (RSA), Perseus Karlstrom (SWE) and Ivan Banzeruk (UKR)..
