04/03/2018   Huangshan (CHN): Victories to Han Jijiang and Liang Rui in 35km






 

Second day of races in Huangshan (CHN) for Chinese Grand Prix.
 
The men and women raced on a 35km (as often happens in Europe), while only a few athletes (men) participate in the classic 50km while the U20 have competed on 30km.
 
 
35km men
 
Departure at 7:30. 
For almost two hours the weather was clearly more favorable than yesterday for the athletes.
 
Victory to Han Jijiang (CHN) with a time of 2:33:11.
Second place to Wang Qin (CHN) with a time of 2:33:18
Third place to Wang Rui (CHN) with a time of 2:33:38
 
Race with regular pace. Split time to 5 km. in 21:50 and at 10 km. in 43:27 (21:37) for a group of eight units. The  leading group continues together up to 20 km. Split time to 15km in 1:05:24 (21.57) and to 20 km. in 1:27.16 (21:52). Around 23km. they remain five in the lead. Split time to 25 km. is 1:49:24 (10:08 pm). Before the 30 km. remain three in the lead group (Han Jijiang, Wang Qin and Wang Rui)
 
The split time at 30 is 2:10:57 (21:339). Wang Qin tries to detach the two companions, but his attempt does not last long. The race lives its crucial moment in the last two kilometers. First Wang Rui comes off and shortly after Wang Qin gives way to Han Jijiang's victory. Last 5 km. covered by the winner in 22:14. Time that signals that in the final there has been a decline for everyone.

There were thirty-three athletes at the start.
 
Victory to Liang Rui (CHN) with a time of 2:49:23
Second place to Ying Hang (CHN) with a time of 2:50:14
Third place to Zhou Kang (CHN) with a time of 2:50:31
 
Beautiful victory for Liang Rui with a smooth and profitable walk and with the impression that in the final still had good energy in body. A performance that on 50 km. it could project on performance around 4:03:00. Liang forced the pace towards 25 km. when there were only four of them in the front group. The vice-world champion on the 50 km. Ying Hang searched for a few km not to give up but failed in the undertaking and had to be satisfied with the place of honor. She also gave the impression of being able to walk faster than the time she had scored in London.

There were forty-eight athletes at the start.

 

Victory to Lu Ning (CHN) con il tempo di 2:13:50.

Of the 48 athletes at the start only 40 completed the race, 5 DNF and 3 DQ

There were eleven athletes at the start..

 

Victory to Luo Jiayu (CHN) con il tempo di 4:12:31.

Second place to Ma Liangshan (CHN) con il tempo di 4:21:16

Third place to Cui Guichao (CHN) con il tempo di 4:28:45
