With today's publication concludes the huge statistical work done by Sandro Damilano whose goal is to provide our readers with a wider and updated vision of the current best athletes of the world race walk.
It was started on december 2016 and on January 4, 2017 we presented the athletes' technical reports (men and women) who have won a medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, in 2016.
We promised to do the same with the best athletes (now we finish with the women) worldwide.
How to identify them?
The choice has been to carefully weigh the results obtained over the last three years, but particularly in the last season between athletes that, in this period of time, have been in the top ten of the world rankings in 20 km. Sandro Damilano then used these parameters in his statistical work with the goal of providing our readers an insight into how much richer for statistical data to those who, at least according to the views of Marcia dal Mondo, should be the "best athletes" .
The section dedicated to Foreign Athletes (women) was updated at 31.12.2016, except the report of Ines Henriques which was updated at Jan 15, 2017.
Are below presented reports of 18 athletes (including the Olympic medal winners mentioned in our news of Jan. 4, 2017 and the athletes of Italy) belonging to 9 Countries.
The athletes were divided by country of origin in order to facilitate research and for every athlete have been updated:
- Personal best
- Progressions over the years in their main races
- Clicking on "Scarica l'allegato" it open a report containing the 10 best performances in major competitions, other important results including the best career results.
We also have indicated the average of the 10 best performances in typical distances of each athlete.
Where possible, moreover the performances less than 10 first in the typical distances of each athlete, were also indicated.
We hope we have given so truly a pitting image of the athletes chosen by Marcia dal Mondo.
But above all a big thanks to Sandro Damilano for the long professional research done in this period, and to whom we wont to dedicate, thanks to the great work done, the cover photo of this news.
If someone were to have identified some errors or lack please inform us in order we can correct it, otherwise on this topic goodbye at the end of December 2017 with the updated edition.
